Key Responsibilities- Identify and drive opportunities for improvement in clients’ procurement and operational performance.
- Develop and propose category and project strategies that maximize value for clients.
- Gain stakeholder engagement at all appropriate levels and influence effectively.
- Provide input into client’s scope of requirements and specification design, proposing best practice approaches to the market.
- Ensure effective supplier and stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Devise negotiation plans and manage negotiation process with client and suppliers.
- Provide commercial input on contract terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Agree on implementation plans and manage activities with client and suppliers as required.
- Extensive experience negotiating large complex and global deals with successful commercial and operational outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong market knowledge, including key players, emerging challengers, and relevant activity, with the ability to assess strategic impacts and advise clients accordingly.
- Significant experience in global IT procurement category knowledge, and negotiating with major IT vendors.
- Strong knowledge of indirect procurement, ideally gained in a consultancy environment or working alongside consultants but relevant industry experience will be considered.
- Experience leading and managing global teams.
- Deep subject matter expert in Enterprise Software, IT Services and/or Cloud Hosting.
- Experience with spend profiles over $50M annual.
- Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint presentation, and data analytical skills.
