Part of the global leader Bain & Company, Proxima is a well-established and leading procurement consulting firm providing procurement and supply chain expertise and advice to clients. We have offices in Chicago, London, Leeds, Cardiff, Dusseldorf, Melbourne, and Singapore. Hybrid working is the norm with time spent at client site, home as well as your local office.

We are establishing a Learning Academy to meet the needs of our growing global business and now have an exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development Lead – Global Consultant Programs to be based in the European region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of exceptional individuals who are passionate about developing and enhancing our learning and development programs.

Role Overview:

Learning & Development Lead – Global Consultant Programs

Purpose: Own and deliver high-impact learning experiences for mid- and senior-level consultants globally, driving performance and aligning with Proxima’s strategic goals.

Scope: Learning programs as determined by the Head of Global L&D focusing on mid-tier and senior induction, professional development, and tailored consultant courses for procurement consultants based in US, UK/Germany, and AsiaPAC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic alignment: Collaborate with Head of Global L&D to align L&D delivery program strategy with organizational goals to elevate consultant capability and client value.
  • Performance driven: Design, develop/refine and deliver learning initiatives which meet our agreed learning needs and objectives, and support Proxima’s business priorities and client outcomes. Work collaboratively with the L&D team and our partners to create an effective Proxima Academy.
  • Platform Management: Leverage our LMS to create engaging content and curriculums to enhance senior consultant and above learning journeys and track learning activities/take up.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate current offerings, identify gaps, and implement improvements that boost effectiveness and relevance.
  • Quality & Impact: Ensure the programs are scheduled and delivered on time, consistently, and with measurable impact to drive capability improvements.
  • Culture Champion: Foster a culture of growth, engagement, and continuous learning through coaching and dynamic training delivery. Be a face of L&D to the European region at Proxima.

Your Experience

  • Proven strong experience in hands-on delivery of professional learning and development, ideally in the US, Europe, and AsiaPAC.
  • Skilled in instructional design and stakeholder collaboration, with a track record of creating and delivering effective professional services, competency-based learning solutions in an SME.
  • Creative and energetic facilitator with excellent coaching, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experienced in delivering hybrid learning solutions, with an agile and pragmatic delivery approach to creating content/solutions and a deep care for learning.
  • Good listening skills and responsive to requests for advice.
  • Ideally understanding procurement or supply chain functions, within a professional services or consultancy environment.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment in a team that is establishing a new function.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed (typically to Germany or other mainland Europe/throughout UK).
