The opportunity: As Global Vice President of Marketing at Proxima, you will own the global marketing and communications agenda for Proxima, the fastest growing business in our space. You will work closely with business leadership to shape and deliver a strategy that supports our growth, strengthens our market positioning, and amplifies Proxima’s voice with senior decision makers and within the talent market. This role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on delivery.
You will take on a pre-existing team (based in London, Chicago and Singapore), an agency partner network, and a marketing plan to hit the ground running. However, you will be given the support and space to shape a future‑facing strategy and plan as Proxima continues to grow in excess of 50% per annum in existing and new markets. Reporting into the board of management, you will play a critical role in ensuring Proxima consistently punches above its weight in the market, and outperforms its peers.
What you’ll do:
- Set and deliver marketing strategy
- Develop and own a global Marketing and Communications strategy aligned to business objectives
- Oversee global delivery across brand, content, communications, PR, digital, events, and campaigns
- Continually assess marketing activity to ensure it is measurable, performance driven, and delivering against objectives
- Bring innovation into how Proxima goes to market, improving impact, efficiency, and ways of working
- Take ownership for how Proxima is presented to its target audiences, ensuring a strong, differentiated market presence
- Align Proxima marketing with our parent company, Bain & Company, where it adds value, whilst maintaining our independent brand and plan
- Build and manage partners and suppliers
- Lead and calibrate a strong partner and MarTech ecosystem to support delivery
- Take ultimate responsibility for key partner relationships, ensuring objectives are clearly embedded into planning and execution
- Identify new tools, partners, and innovations, making the case for change and setting up effective working relationships
- Own Brand guidelines and ensure all external communications align to them and reflect Proxima’s values
- Monitor the competitor landscape and use insights to inform strategy, positioning, and messaging
- Design and take accountability for launch strategies for new products, services, and major communications as well as any future acquisitions and integrations
- Participate in client sessions where appropriate, providing marketing and PR insight
- Manage senior stakeholders
- Own key senior internal relationships at SVP and EVP level for Marketing
- Lead joint planning with senior stakeholders across the business, aligning marketing activity to varying goals and priorities
- Set up effective marketing strategies with subgroups such as our recruitment, learning and operations teams as well as any specific products or market offerings.
- Promote the Marketing function internally, creating visibility and momentum across the firm
- Work closely with Proxima’s experts to support and coach them in building their external profile through content, events, and media
- Develop a strong relationship with Bain Marketing to create joint plans and shared initiatives
- Lead and develop the team
- Lead, develop, and support the Marketing team, located in Chicago, Singapore and London in skills, performance, and career progression
- Champion the team and promote their impact and achievements across Proxima
- Work closely with Sales, Solutions, and HR to embed consistent branding, messaging, and communications across all activity
- Own the engine behind marketing
- Develop and own the marketing plan
- Take responsibility for budgeting and forecasting in partnership with Finance and business unit leads
- Define priority audiences and align products, services, and channels accordingly
- Oversee CRM and MarTech platforms, owning performance, relationships, and commercials
- Ensure effective workload management and prioritisation across the team
- Analytics and reporting
- Ensure all metrics are accurately captured, reported, and actively used to inform decision making
- Clearly communicate marketing performance and impact to senior stakeholders
What you bring:
- Senior marketing leadership
- Proven experience leading marketing at a senior level in a complex, fast paced environment, ideally with some agency and B2B experience
- Strong strategic capability combined with a bias for delivery and measurable outcomes
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing at executive level
