About ProWritingAid
ProWritingAid serves an audience of over one million writers around the world. We help creative writers plan, write, edit and publish their novels. We’re a profitable SaaS company at the forefront of innovation in the creative writing space, with a fast-growing user base and a big vision. Our team is 100% remote, primarily based in the UK and Europe. Our mission is to become the essential tool for creative writers. If you're excited by storytelling, community, and content with impact—you’ll feel right at home here.
About the Role
We are looking for an end-to-end operator to take complete ownership of our paid social channels. You won't just be tweaking settings in an ad manager; you’ll be the driving strategic force behind growing our paid activity on Meta and YouTube, while actively investigating and launching campaigns on emerging platforms like TikTok Ads. This is a fully 360-degree role. You’ll be responsible for:
- Ideating fresh campaign concepts
- Project managing internal team members to secure creative assets (videos, images, copy)
- Building out campaigns directly within the platforms
- Optimizing performance
- Conducting deep-dive reporting to iterate and try again
You’ll report to marketing leadership, working closely with our creative and content functions to ensure our paid acquisition engine runs efficiently at scale.
What This Role Is Not
- Not a passive platform management role: Though you’ll be hands-on inside the ad platforms, you’ll be launching campaigns and tests that you have ideated and pitched—to see how they perform.
- Not a pure creative or copywriting role: While you’ll conceptualize ads, you will marshal other team members to produce videos, images and copy—you don’t need to produce it yourself.
- Not just basic reporting: You’ll need to be able to dive deep analytically, to pull out meaningful insights and trends to inform your strategy—not just reading surface-level platform metrics.
Why This Role Is Special
- You’ll have true end-to-end ownership of paid social channels within a profitable, bootstrapped company with a massive existing global audience.
- You’ll have a dedicated runway to experiment, innovate, and launch brand-new paid channels (like TikTok Ads and Reddit Ads) from the ground up.
- You'll work with a highly sophisticated data environment, where rigorous testing and analytical curiosity are celebrated and rewarded.
- You'll be embedded in a friendly, supportive marketing team, who are passionate about what they do.
You’re a Great Fit If You:
- Have 5+ years deep, hands-on experience managing and scaling campaigns within Meta Ads and Google Ads (specifically YouTube).
- Are exceptionally proactive—a self-starter who is entirely comfortable getting things done independently, while equally capable of marshalling resources and driving project timelines with other team members.
- Possess strong analytical skills: you understand AB testing and statistical significance. You can identify factors that might skew test results. You’re comfortable performing mid-to-large-scale data analysis in Excel or Google Sheets, using features like Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Are curious. You look beyond industry benchmarks; you look beyond surface-level results. You want to know the why behind the data.
- Are a strong communicator. You can present back to the marketing team, the wider company, and the Leadership team confidently and clearly—and get them impassioned about your channels.
- Are a native-level English speaker based in the UK, Europe, or a compatible US timezone.
- Have proven experience exploring, launching, and scaling performance campaigns on alternative paid platforms (e.g., Reddit Ads, TikTok Ads).
Nice, But Not Necessary
- A blend of both agency and client-side (in-house) experience—giving you a unique mix of broad channel perspective and deep, dedicated brand focus.
- Experience in SaaS marketing.
- Interested in creative writing, an active writer, or experience working in the creative writing space.
Why Join Us?
- Remote flexibility - You can work from wherever (and whenever) you are happiest. The company is UK-registered, but we have employees in more than 10 countries. Ideally, you’ll be based in the UK or Europe.
- Tackle meaningful problems - Help us improve a product that helps creative writers worldwide.
- Learning & growth support - We offer mentorship, training, a dedicated learning and development budget, and a highly supportive culture of continuous development.
- Fast-growing & agile environment - Your work will have a visible impact, and we encourage experimentation and new ideas.
- Annual meet-up - Every year we bring the full company together to plan, learn, and play.
