Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the day-to-day management of the provision
  • Line managing teaching and support staff
  • Driving high standards in behaviour, attendance, and learner outcomes
  • Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the provision
  • Supporting curriculum implementation and quality assurance processes
  • Conducting learning walks, observations, and operational reviews
  • Managing stakeholder relationships with schools, local authorities, and families
  • Leading restorative practices, reintegration support, and learner interventions
  • Ensuring safeguarding, compliance, and operational procedures are consistently maintained
  • Supporting staff development, accountability, and professional growth

This role requires a visible, proactive leader who can balance strategic oversight with strong day-to-day operational management. It would also suit an experienced Teacher who wants to take that next step in their career.
