The Role
/n As a Maths Teacher, you'll take ownership of planning and delivering high-quality lessons tailored to the individual needs of learners within specialist and alternative provision settings.
/n
You'll work closely with support staff, mentors, and wider professionals to create positive learning experiences that encourage engagement, progress, and emotional growth.
/n
Key responsibilities include:
/n Delivering differentiated Maths lessons in small groups and 1:1 settings
/n Planning engaging and purposeful learning activities
/n Tracking learner progress and completing assessments and reporting
/n Supporting behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation
/n Building positive relationships with learners, families, and external agencies
/n Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and support teams
/n Contributing to curriculum development and resource creation
/n Maintaining safeguarding and compliance standards
/n
What We're Looking For
/n Essential:
/n QTS, QTLS, or equivalent teaching qualification
/n Experience planning and delivering Maths lessons
/n Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
/n A real ability to relate to learners & breakdown barriers
/n Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
/n
Desirable:
/n Experience within Alternative Provision, PRUs, SEN, or specialist education
/n Experience supporting learners with SEMH or additional needs
/n IQA qualification
/n
