We are exclusively partnering with a specialist alternative education provider seeking passionate and resilient Maths Teachers to join their growing team. The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you’ll take ownership of planning and delivering high-quality lessons tailored to the individual needs of learners within specialist and alternative provision settings. You’ll work closely with support staff, mentors, and wider professionals to create positive learning experiences that encourage engagement, progress, and emotional growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering differentiated Maths lessons in small groups and 1:1 settings
  • Planning engaging and purposeful learning activities
  • Tracking learner progress and completing assessments and reporting
  • Supporting behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation
  • Building positive relationships with learners, families, and external agencies
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and support teams
  • Contributing to curriculum development and resource creation
  • Maintaining safeguarding and compliance standards

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • QTS, QTLS, or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience planning and delivering Maths lessons
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A real ability to relate to learners & breakdown barriers
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection

Desirable:

  • Experience within Alternative Provision, PRUs, SEN, or specialist education
  • Experience supporting learners with SEMH or additional needs
  • IQA qualification
