Fancy a role where no two days are the same and where "the office" is a peaceful countryside setting? Want to join an organisation who genuinely looks after their staff?

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to help run the day-to-day operations of the site. Think hospitality, people management, and a bit of everything in between, all with a genuinely calm, community-focused atmosphere behind it.

What you'll actually be doing:

  • Keeping the venue running smoothly day to day, bookings, guest info, room allocation, payments
  • Supporting and motivating a small, close-knit team
  • Sharing overnight duty cover on a rota basis (accommodation provided when on shift)
  • Making sure health & safety, food safety, and safeguarding standards are properly maintained
  • Getting stuck in wherever needed, including cooking when the kitchen needs an extra pair of hands
  • Feeding into wider planning and reporting for the site

You'll be a good fit if you have:

  • Solid experience in catering or hospitality, and you're happy to cook when required
  • Some supervisory or management experience, hospitality, leisure, or events
  • A good handle on compliance, risk assessment, and H&S basics
  • Confidence handling payments and general admin (decent Excel/Word skills)
  • The kind of calm, organised, can-do attitude that keeps things on track when it's busy
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight stays
  • Food Safety Certificate

What's on offer:

  • 30 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
  • On-site accommodation for overnight duties (with potential to live on-site full-time)
  • Pension scheme
  • Death in service benefit
  • In-house training plus access to an online learning platform
