We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator (Supply Chain Co-ordinator) to join an established manufacturing business based in St Helens. This is a varied role covering purchasing, supplier management, production planning, stock control and logistics, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within Supply Chain.
About the Role
You will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Customer Service and Sales teams to ensure materials are available, production plans are supported and customer requirements are met. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing supplier relationships and supporting sourcing activities
- Assisting with RFQs, price comparisons and supplier negotiations
- Monitoring supplier performance, pricing and delivery
- Supporting cost-saving and continuous improvement projects
- Ensuring materials and packaging are available for planned production
- Monitoring stock levels and supporting replenishment
- Supporting production planning and scheduling when required
- Coordinating inbound deliveries and resolving transport issues
- Maintaining accurate information within SAP/ERP systems
- Producing reports covering stock, production and delivery performance
- Supporting stock accuracy and cycle-count activities
- Working with different departments to identify and resolve supply chain issues
- Participating in planning meetings and continuous improvement activities
