You'll play a key role in maintaining, repairing and improving a wide range of production equipment, ensuring maximum plant reliability and minimising downtime.If you enjoy hands-on engineering, fault finding and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.The RoleAs a Biomass Plant Engineer, you'll be responsible for the maintenance and reliability of plant machinery, supporting production through planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and continuous improvement initiatives.You'll work closely with the production team to maximise plant performance while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and quality.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all production machinery.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.Service and maintain conveyors, pellet presses, hammer mills, dryers, motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans and associated plant equipment.Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete engineering work orders.Support production by improving equipment reliability and plant efficiency.Assist with engineering stores, spare parts and consumables.Contribute to continuous improvement projects to increase productivity and reduce costs.About YouWe're looking for someone with a practical, proactive approach and experience working within manufacturing or industrial environments.Previous maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing, processing or heavy industry.Strong mechanical engineering skills.Basic electrical fault-finding experience.Experience maintaining industrial machinery and production equipment.The ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals.A flexible approach to working hours when required.NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Welding and fabrication experience.PLC fault-finding experience.Forklift licence.IPAF or MEWP certification.Confined Space and/or Working at Height training.Proud to deliver high-quality workmanship.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.Company pension.Paid annual leave.Ongoing training and development opportunities.Career progression within a growing renewable energy business.Overtime opportunities during busy production periods and planned shutdowns.Apply TodayIf you're an experienced Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Plant Engineer looking to join a business at the forefront of renewable energy and biomass manufacturing, we'd love to hear from you.Apply now to be part of a growing team helping to deliver sustainable energy solutions while maintaining industry-leading production standards.
