This full-time position works closely under nursing supervision to facilitate efficient surgical procedures and patient care. The role is based at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, CA, a recognized Magnet hospital known for nursing excellence. Description Operating Room Assistant at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange in Orange, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 12-hour, Day shifts. Under the immediate supervision of the Lead Support Technician and the general direction of the Clinical Coordinator or Charge Nurse, the Support Tech provides ancillary services in the Operating Room. The three major responsibilities consist of the following: 1) ensuring the availability of well-functioning equipment for every surgical case, 2) assisting nursing personnel in room set up & turnover and in selected patient support services such as turning, lifting, and transporting patients, and 3) maintaining a safe and clean work environment in the O.R. suites and peripheral areas.
