Technical Lead – Greenfield AdTech Platform (London Hybrid, £120k + Bonus)
We’re partnering with a profitable, scaling digital marketing group who are undergoing a major technology transformation. Bootstrapped from day one, they’ve grown fast without outside investors — giving them real stability, strategic focus, and the freedom to build for the long term.
They’re now looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to spearhead the build of a new greenfield AdTech platform that will power their ambitious growth into new markets, including sports, US expansion, and beyond. Expect to work at pace, deploy to production multiple times a day, and see your impact immediately.
What you’ll do
- Take ownership of a greenfield AdTech platform, setting technical direction and shaping architecture.
- Lead and grow a small, high-performing engineering team (with multiple hires planned after your first 1–2 months).
- Work hands-on with Next.js, Node, TypeScript (plus Strapi CMS and cloud functions in JS/Python).
- Drive engineering excellence with test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable design patterns.
- Collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders to solve high-traffic, B2C challenges.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience building or scaling high-volume, high-traffic transactional platforms.
- Hands-on leader (70–80% coding) with experience mentoring and growing teams.
- Understanding of CI/CD, automation testing, microservices, cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure).
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and thriving in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
- £120k + 10% bonus with clear growth path as the business scales.
- Hybrid working (minimum 3 days in a central London office).
