Provide Education is seeking a proactive, experienced, and supportive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Wakefield. This full‑time, ongoing position starts in September 2026. You will work closely with teachers and senior leaders to support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, deliver targeted interventions, lead learning activities, and provide classroom cover when required.

Role Requirements
- HLTA status or equivalent experience supporting teaching and learning
- Previous experience working within a primary school setting
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2
- Experience delivering interventions and supporting pupil progress
- Ability to lead whole‑class learning in the teacher's absence
- Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Patient, proactive and supportive approach
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, support teams and parents/carers
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (required for teaching roles)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned lessons and learning activities to whole classes when required
- Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Lead targeted intervention groups to accelerate pupil progress
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with varying needs
- Assist teachers with planning, preparation, assessment and monitoring of pupil progress
- Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' social and emotional development
- Help create an inclusive, engaging and supportive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, SENCOs and senior leaders
