We are currently working with a specialist school in the Wakefield area who are looking to recruit a Teacher to start ASAP and work on an ongoing basis. The school caters for children in EYFS and KS1 with communication and interaction needs as well as autism. This is a part time role, working 2-3 days per week and has the potential to become a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons based on an EYFS and KS1 curriculum
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and progress
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs
  • Assess and mark student work, providing constructive feedback to aid development
  • Work collaboratively with school staff and contribute to pastoral care and extracurricular activities

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE, SCITT, etc.)
  • Recent teaching experience in UK schools
  • Experience delivering lessons to children with a range of SEND
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Completed Level 1 Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete online)
  • Legal right to work in the UK
