Primary Teaching Assistant
Provide Education is seeking a proactive and supportive Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Hebden Bridge supporting pupils across the classroom to help them engage with learning. This is a full time working closely with the class teacher to support pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1) or Key Stage 2 (KS2). The school has a strong focus on inclusive learning and pupil development, with a supportive staff team and a positive learning environment, making it an excellent opportunity for a Primary Teaching Assistant looking to develop their experience in a school setting.

Primary Teaching Assistant role requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based desirable)
- Experience supporting pupils within a primary school setting
- Understanding of the primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1 or KS2)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, proactive and supportive approach
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will:
- Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Encourage pupil engagement and participation
- Support behaviour management using positive strategies
- Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams
