Provide Education is seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Leeds, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. This is a full-time, long-term position, working with pupils who require additional support with learning, communication and personal development. The school caters for pupils with a variety of needs and provides a highly supportive environment with experienced staff and access to specialist training, making it an excellent opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant looking to develop their experience in a specialist setting.
SEN Teaching Assistant benefits:

SEN Teaching Assistant role requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within an SEN setting
- Experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD)
- Strong communication, patience and resilience
- Ability to build positive and consistent relationships with pupils
- A proactive and adaptable approach
- Willingness to support with personal care if required (training provided)
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist with both learning activities and personal development
- Support pupils with communication, behaviour and engagement
- Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with teachers, SENCO and wider support staff
- Adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs
