Provide Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming primary school in the DN6 area. This full-time role is available for an immediate start and will run through to the summer holidays. You will be working on a one-to-one basis with a pupil with Special Educational Needs, providing tailored support to help them access learning and thrive within the classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN
- Assist in delivering individual education plans (IEPs)
- Support the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school-based experience preferred)
- A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Relevant TA qualification (Level 2/3) is desirable but not essential
