We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive school environment, providing tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), physical disabilities, and complex learning needs.
About the Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND, including Autism, ASD, and physical disabilities.
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to deliver individual learning plans.
- Assist with personal care and mobility where required.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction.
- Help create an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children with SEND, particularly Autism and physical disabilities.
- A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach.
- Strong understanding of sensory needs, communication techniques, and behaviour strategies.
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
