Provide Education is working with a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Scunthorpe to find a teaching assistant with SEND experience. Working on a full-time basis to support pupils both academically and socially, this role provides an opportunity to develop your career and enhance pupils' learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to promote pupil progress.
- Supporting the class teacher with lesson planning and delivery.
- Collaborating with the class teacher, other teaching assistants and SENCO to implement learning and behaviour strategies.
- Promoting a positive and nurturing classroom environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of working with primary school-aged children with SEND needs.
- Someone flexible, adaptable and consistent.
- Strongly skilled in behaviour management and supporting children with SEND needs.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service. If you do not currently have a valid DBS, we can help you apply for one!
- Good understanding of safeguarding children, with a minimum of Level 1 Safeguarding.
