This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher looking for stability, purpose, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and well-established setting. This role is ideal for someone who values consistency and is looking to secure a position ahead of the new academic year, allowing you to enjoy a relaxed and stress-free summer break knowing your role for September is already in place.

About the Role:

You will be working within a specialist provision supporting pupils who are unable to attend mainstream school due to their SEND needs. The role requires a nurturing, resilient, and adaptable teacher who is confident in managing complex needs while delivering engaging and accessible learning in line with the Primary National Curriculum. The school is keen to arrange a trial day during this half term. This provides an excellent opportunity for you to experience the environment, meet the team, and begin building relationships with pupils and staff ahead of September helping to ease any anxieties about transitioning into a new role at the start of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons aligned with the Primary National Curriculum
  • Support pupils with a range of SEND needs, adapting teaching approaches accordingly
  • Manage and respond effectively to complex and challenging behaviour
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support their engagement and progress
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and wider professionals
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies to close learning gaps

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Significant long-term experience within a primary school setting (ideally 3+ years in one school)
  • A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
  • Confidence and experience in managing challenging behaviour
  • A patient, consistent, and proactive approach to supporting pupils with SEND
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Requirements:

  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Safeguarding Children Level 1 (minimum requirement)
  • Previous experience in a school-based or care-based setting

This is a rewarding opportunity to secure a long-term role well in advance, giving you the peace of mind and job security to fully enjoy your summer, while stepping into September with confidence and established connections. If you’re ready to take the next step or explore a more stable and fulfilling path in education, we’d love to hear from you!
