Responsibilities

  • Support a Year 5 pupil with SEND throughout the school day
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the child's individual needs
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
  • Build a strong and supportive relationship with the pupil

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with SEND, either in schools or other settings
  • Patient, caring, and resilient
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Can commit to a full-time role until the summer holidays
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or equivalent experience (desirable)
  • Teaching roles require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Enhanced DBS check required
