We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in a welcoming and supportive primary school in Sheffield (S20). You may already have experience in education, or you might bring valuable transferable skills and a passion for supporting children to succeed — either way, your enthusiasm and commitment matter most!

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils’ learning within the classroom
  • Work with individuals and small groups to provide targeted academic and pastoral support
  • Help create a safe, happy and inclusive learning environment
  • Encourage independence, resilience and positive learning behaviours
  • Support children with a range of needs to ensure all can access the curriculum

You may be supporting children with:

  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • SEMH

You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and the senior leadership team to provide a consistent, safe, and nurturing environment.

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
  • Safeguarding Children Level 1 (or willingness to complete the training)
  • Relevant school experience or transferable skills, with a strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
