We’re currently working with a secondary school in Doncaster to find an Art Teacher to start in September 2026 for a long-term placement with a view of becoming permanent. This is a great opportunity to teach Art across KS3 and KS4 within a well-established department. The school is looking for someone who can bring creativity into the classroom whilst also supporting students in preparing for their GCSEs.

You’ll play an important role in helping KS4 students prepare for both the written exam element and their coursework portfolio, including supporting students as they develop and complete their final pieces. The school is open to applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers, so whether you’re newly qualified or looking for a new opportunity, we’d be keen to hear from you.

The role:
  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons to KS3 and KS4 whilst contributing to the development of the Art curriculum within school.
  • Support students preparing for GCSE Art exams and coursework, including with KS4 students' final pieces.
  • Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment whilst contributing to a positive wider school community.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress in line with the national curriculum, providing feedback to develop their skills.
What we’re looking for:
  • Someone with Qualified Teacher Status, including ECTs.
  • Experience teaching Art in a secondary school setting (including ECT placements).
  • Someone creative, organised and confident leading practical lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong understanding of the GCSE Art curriculum with ability to work collaboratively with the department to further this.
