The Tissue Viability Support role works autonomously within the Tissue Viability Service to achieve person‑centred care, collaborating with the Tissue Viability Nurses, Lymphoedema Nurse, and Clinical Lead on patient assessment, care, audit and quality initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality care to patients with compromised skin and lymphedema, respecting privacy, dignity, and cultural beliefs.
  • Develop skills in tissue viability and lymphedema through competency progression.
  • Promote pressure ulcer prevention organization‑wide.
  • Assess and review patients in leg ulcer/lymphedema clinics and community settings; liaise with senior nurses.
  • Operate flexibly, including overtime in clinics when needed.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, prioritising infection control and health.
