The post holder will also be responsible for developing and delivering technical training programmes for Equipment Technicians and Driver Technicians, ensuring staff are competent in the assembly, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of community equipment. This will include identifying training needs, conducting competency assessments, maintaining training records and competency matrices, supporting the induction of new employees, and promoting consistent operational standards, quality and compliance across the service.

The role is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the Equipment Technician function of the business and may support the Warehouse operation to ensure that all targets are achieved.

This includes line managing staff, proactively monitoring and improving KPI performance, identifying and addressing areas of operational non-compliance, reviewing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and driving continuous improvement initiatives whilst promoting the sharing of best practice across the service.
