We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated ADHD Non‑Medical Prescriber to lead and further develop the ADHD pathway within our Community Paediatric Service. The post holder will provide specialist clinical leadership in ADHD assessment, medication management, physical health monitoring, and ongoing care planning.
Main Duties
- Lead the ADHD pathway in the community paediatric service.
- Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to multidisciplinary teams.
- Lead complex medicines management and direction for children and young people with ADHD.
- Focus on outcomes to improve patient experience, safety and risk mitigation.
- Support and contribute to clinical audits and quality improvement.
- Collaborate with quality and patient safety teams on pharmacy and medicine management issues.
- Lead the ADHD medication service/pathway delivery and accountability for clinical standards.
- Provide input into system-wide medicines strategy and influence service performance/KPIs.
- Contribute to clinical governance and risk management related to medicines.
- Lead on patient safety alerts and incident learning.
- Deliver ADHD care including medication management and physical health assessments.
- Provide leadership across the ADHD pathway: screening, assessment, psychoeducation, medication management, behavioural management, care planning, risk assessment and transition to adult services.
- Undertake relevant training and continuing professional development.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and peer review.
Person Specification
Essential criteria:
- MPharm, BSc Nursing or equivalent.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council or Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- Postgraduate clinical certificate/diploma or equivalent.
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy.
Desirable criteria:
- Member of the RPS or RCN.
- Management qualification.
