We are looking to recruit a domestic assistant to join our small team within the Facilities Department at St Peter's Hospital, for an evening position. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a high quality domestic cleaning service. They will have the ability to work effectively and flexibly, both alone and as part of a team, maintaining a high standard of work will be essential. Training in Health and Safety and Cleaning Standards will be provided.

Main duties of the job:

  • Cleaning all clinical and non-clinical areas to a high standard
  • To undertake routine, specific and deep cleaning tasks as required
  • To use cleaning materials as necessary to undertake the variety of cleaning tasks required and as directed by the Team Leader.

Person Specification:

  • Good standard of education to GCSE level
  • Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment
  • This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

£24,465 a year per annum, part time will be pro rata.
