Physiotherapy assistant working in the Children's Community Physiotherapy team. Work will include supporting children aged 0-19 years in their home, education setting and clinical environments, and supporting qualified Physiotherapists to deliver therapy for children with neurodevelopmental conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out therapy sessions with or without a qualified therapist being present, under the direction of qualified staff members.
- Assessing, maintaining and cleaning specialist therapy equipment.
- Providing admin support for the team including ordering of specialist equipment.
- Teaching and educating parents/school staff how to use specialist equipment and for therapy programmes.
- Liaising with the MDT regarding patient care.
