Workforce Solutions is looking for a phlebotomist to join Provide on a bank basis. The successful candidate must be competent in phlebotomy. This role is community based, so the successful candidate must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work.

Responsibilities:

  • Take blood specimens from patients according to protocols, practices and standards required by Provide operating protocols, at the request of a qualified medical practitioner or other health professional.
  • Undertake INR monitoring using PoCT method.
  • Ensure that specimens are delivered to the correct pick-up location at the correct time.
  • Maintain stocks of containers, needles etc. to enable the work to proceed efficiently.
  • Keep the workplace clean and tidy.
  • Know and observe procedures for high-risk patients and specimens.
  • Maintain accurate records of blood tests taken within the relevant patient records if required, using a computerized record system.

The successful candidate would hold a zero-hours contract and be offered shifts as and when the service requires additional support.
