Physiotherapy assistant working in the Children's Community Physiotherapy team. Work will include supporting children aged 0-19 years in their home, education setting and clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting qualified Physiotherapists to deliver therapy for children with neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Carrying out therapy sessions with or without a qualified therapist being present, under direction of qualified staff members.
- Assessing, maintaining and cleaning specialist therapy equipment.
- Providing admin support for the team including ordering of specialist equipment.
- Teaching and educating parents/school staff how to use specialist equipment and for therapy programmes.
- Liaising with the MDT regarding patient care.
In addition, the role will include working in a number of locations such as patient's homes, education settings as well as clinic-based environments.
