- Develop seasonal womenswear collections and Special Make-Up (SMU) ranges.
- Work closely with Design, Garment Technology, Sourcing and commercial teams.
- Manage overseas factories and suppliers, including factory allocation based on price, lead times and product requirements.
- Source and develop fabrics, trims, washes, finishes and construction details.
- Manage technical specifications, seasonal line lists and product development calendars.
- Coordinate and approve lab dips, fabrics, trims, prints, embroidery, labelling and packaging.
- Attend garment fit sessions, working with Garment Technologists and Designers to resolve fit and construction issues.
- Negotiate supplier prices and support product engineering to achieve target costs and margins.
- Manage samples, approvals, weekly WIP reports and critical paths.
- Work across multiple collections and seasons simultaneously, managing high SKU volumes.
- Liaise with buyers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure products are delivered to the required quality, cost and timelines.
Experience Required
- 2–5 years' experience in apparel product development, preferably within branded fashion or womenswear.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fitting, fabric development, washes and finishes.
- Hands‑on experience working directly with overseas garment factories and suppliers.
- Experience in sourcing, supplier selection and factory allocation.
- Experience working within a wholesale apparel business model.
- Good commercial understanding of product costings, supplier pricing and margins.
- Experience managing product development from concept through to bulk production.
- Ability to manage multiple seasons, collections and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong organisational skills and the confidence to work independently.
- Accessories product development experience would be an advantage.
We are particularly interested in someone who is technically knowledgeable, commercially aware, proactive and comfortable working directly with overseas factories in a fast-moving wholesale fashion environment.
