Our client, a leading global sportswear brand, is seeking a Senior Key Account Manager – UK to lead, manage, and grow strategic partnerships across the British retail landscape. This includes key accounts such as Sports Direct, ASOS, Schuh, JD Sports, Office, and other relevant retail and ecommerce partners. This is a critical commercial leadership role—responsible for driving revenue growth, deepening retail relationships, and elevating the brand experience across both omnichannel and digital-first environments.
Account Leadership & Commercial Growth
- Own and manage the strategic direction, commercial performance, and daily operations of top UK accounts including Sports Direct, ASOS, Schuh, JD Sports, and Office.
- Drive revenue, profitability, and market share across accounts, managing the full P&L and delivering on short- and long-term targets.
- Build and execute joint business plans (JBPs) tailored to each account’s positioning, channel focus, and consumer audience.
Planning, Execution & Go-to-Market
- Lead seasonal go-to-market planning, aligning with brand, merchandising, and product teams to deliver compelling assortments and brand activations.
- Oversee sell-in and sell-out strategies, ensuring alignment with demand planning and supply chain to meet commercial and operational goals.
- Monitor key account performance, market trends, and competitor activity to inform strategy and adapt in real time.
Retail & Digital Activation
- Champion brand presentation and premium execution across both physical retail and e-commerce platforms.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and digital teams to support account-specific activations, product launches, and brand campaigns.
- Ensure that consumer touchpoints across all accounts reflect the brand’s vision, values, and commercial ambition.
Internal Stakeholder Management
- Act as the internal voice of the customer, representing the needs and opportunities of each account within the organization.
- Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, finance, marketing, and global sales teams to ensure account strategies are aligned and executed seamlessly.
- Ensure compliance with trade terms, internal policies, and partner expectations.
Qualifications
- 6–10+ years of experience in key account management or commercial roles, ideally within sporting goods, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer products.
- Direct experience managing major UK retail accounts, particularly omnichannel and digital-first partners such as Sports Direct, ASOS, JD, Schuh, or Office.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering commercial growth, strategic planning, and effective cross-functional execution.
- Strong knowledge of the UK retail landscape, consumer behaviour, and digital commerce.
- Excellent negotiation, planning, and analytical skills with a data-informed approach to decision making.
