Job Description

Our client, an international sportswear company, is looking for a Junior Apparel Product Developer to support their growing team.

This is a hands-on, full-time role based in Watford, ideal for someone with early experience in apparel product development and a strong interest in lifestyle sportswear/activewear.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of apparel collections in collaboration with Designers, Product Developers, and suppliers.
  • Assist in managing the product lifecycle – from tech pack handover to sample review and pre-production stages.
  • Liaise daily with factories to ensure information flows smoothly and timelines are met.
  • Help prepare tech packs, measurement charts, fabric/trim selections, and sample comments.
  • Attend fit sessions and support with fit comments, sample measuring, and approvals.
  • Track and update development documentation and sample status across key internal systems.
  • Assist with cost tracking and support the team during pricing discussions.
  • Coordinate sample shipments for internal review and buyer reference.
  • Join occasional buyer meetings to understand commercial needs and product expectations.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Degree or diploma in Fashion, Textiles, or a related field.
  • Around 1–2 years of experience in apparel product development (internships or junior roles).
  • Some exposure to activewear or performance fabrics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Interest in 3D virtual product development is a bonus.
