Our client, a global group with iconic brands is seeking an exceptional Head of Ecommerce to take full ownership of the European direct-to-consumer website. This senior role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, giving you the autonomy to shape the digital roadmap, drive commercial performance, and elevate the customer experience across multiple European markets.
With full P&L responsibility, you will lead trading strategy, merchandising, and operational excellence to deliver sales growth, profitability, and market share.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership & P&L Ownership
- Own the P&L for the European e-commerce site, delivering sales, gross margin, and EBIT.
- Lead monthly P&L reviews, forecasts, and KPI tracking.
- Build and execute trading strategies that maximise profit and conversion.
Merchandising & Range Planning
- Develop seasonal Open-to-Buy plans aligned to budget and growth objectives.
- Manage stock forecasting, allocation, and sell-through optimisation.
- Curate digital product assortments that drive customer engagement and loyalty.
Marketing & Campaign Alignment
- Work with marketing teams to deliver an integrated commercial calendar.
- Balance full-price sales with strategic clearance and promotional events.
- Align brand campaigns to maximise digital conversion.
Digital Experience & Operations
- Lead UX/UI improvements to increase engagement and conversion.
- Oversee site merchandising, markdowns, and promotional activity.
- Use data analytics to optimise trading and customer experience.
Strategic Projects
- Deliver omni-channel initiatives, operational upgrades, and platform enhancements to keep the business competitive.
What We’re Looking For
- Senior digital commerce leader with full P&L experience (fashion, sportswear, or premium consumer goods preferred).
- Strong merchandising, trading, and range planning expertise.
- Data-driven, commercially astute, and comfortable making decisive calls.
- Advanced knowledge of Shopify Plus (or similar enterprise platforms).
- Fluent in English (additional European languages a plus).
