Introduction:

I am a female in her early seventies (Young at Heart) who requires a Personal Assistant for 8 Hours a week, over 2/3 days. I am advertising for a mature female who ideally has experience of Epilepsy or who is willing to be trained in dealing with Epilepsy. I suffer from Petit Mals every day and Tonic Clonic Seizures every now and again so I need someone who would be able to take control of the situation. I need to feel safe at home and when outside.

Duties:

I need my PA to be reliable and honest, patient and understanding. My care and support will include the following; taking me out to have a coffee or go shopping and to the hairdresser once a week. (Driving Licence is essential and also confidence to drive an SUV)

At the house you will be required to do light cleaning duties e.g. Dusting, Hoovering and some ironing.

Trial Period – 3 Months during which either party may terminate the employment with a 7 days notice.

Essential Requirements:

I want to feel safe with my carer, so knowing what to do in the event of a Tonic Clonic Seizure would be an advantage, but training will be available to the successful applicant.

Full driving License ( Will be driving my car fully insured)

Good communication skills and a sense of humour.

Physically fit and healthy to be able to adequately assist me.

A Mature female so that we can relate
