Today, Proton makes privacy universally accessible.
Our diverse and dynamic team is made up of more than 400 members representing over 40 different nationalities. While we are based in Geneva, Switzerland, we have offices in Zurich, Prague, London, Vilnius, Skopje, Taipei, and many more employees working remotely around the world. About The Position
Our Creative & Growth Studio is looking for a talented Web UI/UX Designer to join a passionate design team dedicated to creating and improving our storefront websites. In collaboration with the other teams such as the marketing, brand, content, and dev, you will contribute to creating a best-in-class website experience for proton.me and protonvpn.com. Our goal is to delight visitors, guide them through our universe and convince them that Proton's privacy world is worth adopting. You will use your UX/UI expertise to create and elevate our web experiences. This role will bring enthusiasm and passion for visual design, UX experimentation, testing, and innovation.
What you will do:
- Drive the design process from initial concepts to final polished web mockups, following established Web UX and UI standards (accessibility, usability, consistency, responsiveness).
- Create user-first website experiences that are visually appealing, engaging, and aligned with UX best practices and conversion-oriented design principles.
- Develop high-fidelity UI mockups and interactive prototypes that clearly illustrate information architecture, user flows, and interface behaviours.
- Ensure designs respect modern UI patterns, interaction standards, and cross-device consistency (desktop, tablet, mobile).
- Collaborate closely with marketing, content, design, and engineering teams to deliver coherent, scalable, and high-quality user experiences.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of our component-based Proton Design System, ensuring consistency across products and platforms.
Job requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Web or UI Designer, either in an agency or in-house. Please include a link to your Portfolio.
- Proficiency in creating web-optimised designs and visuals within a given brand/visual identity.
- Passion for user-centered design, with the ability to create intuitive mobile experiences for different user journeys.
- Strong ability to articulate design decisions and convey complex ideas effectively to non-design focused stakeholders (engineers, growth leads, etc.).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools, such as Figma and Adobe.
- Experience with CMS/Strapi/React is a plus.
- Experience in motion design, animation & illustration is an added advantage.
Why should you join Proton?
