Role Description

We are seeking a motivated Intermediate/Senior Building Services Engineer to join our London-based team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of mechanical and electrical building services systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and specification of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems, including HVAC, lighting, power, water, and sustainability solutions.
• Prepare technical calculations, reports, and drawings in collaboration with other engineers.
• Support the development of sustainable and energy-efficient solutions in line with industry standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate building services seamlessly into projects.
• Use industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, IES, Dialux, Amtech) to produce designs and models.
• Carry out site visits, surveys, and inspections to support project delivery.
• Stay up to date with UK building regulations, CIBSE guidelines, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical, Environmental/Sustainability Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5–10 years of experience in a building services consultancy or related field.
• Familiarity with industry design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, IES, Dialux, Amtech).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Enthusiasm for sustainable and innovative engineering solutions.
• Experience in the building services industry.
• Relevant certifications or licenses are a plus.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of Autocad 2D and IES Virtual Environment packages.
• Experience working on RIBA Stage 2-5 projects.
• Understanding of UK planning and building control processes.
