Work Placement Officer

Mansfield | Temporary Contract | Immediate Start | Full-Time | Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Work Placement Officer to join a busy Further Education College in Mansfield on a temporary basis. This is an urgent requirement, with the contract running from as soon as possible until initially the beginning of November.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual who has previous experience coordinating learner work placements and building relationships with employers.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and develop work placement opportunities with local employers.
• Match students to suitable placements based on their course, skills, and career aspirations.
• Liaise with employers, learners, and curriculum teams to ensure successful placement outcomes.
• Conduct placement reviews, checks, and employer visits where required.
• Monitor learner progress and provide ongoing support throughout their placements.
• Ensure all placement documentation, compliance checks, and records are maintained accurately.
• Build and maintain strong employer relationships while identifying new placement opportunities.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Work Placement Officer or in a similar employer engagement, employability, careers, or placement coordination role is essential.
• Experience supporting learners within an education, training, or Further Education environment.
• Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential, as travel to employer sites will be required.
