Bolton Talent Solutions is recruiting Commercial Assistants – Shop to support Front of House operations within on-site retail at Bolton College. This is a temporary role until the end of term, ideal for reliable and customer-focused individuals seeking flexible daytime work. Candidates do not need to be available for all days or times, as multiple staff will be recruited and placed on a rota to provide up to 40 hours of cover per week overall.

  • Pay: £14.24 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay) £12.71 base rate £1.53 holiday pay

Key Responsibilities

  • Serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Operating a till and handling payments accurately
  • Replenishing and merchandising stock
  • Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the shop
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the outlet

Essential Requirements

  • Valid Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the DBS Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role (retail or hospitality preferred)
  • Confidence using a till and handling transactions
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation
