AAT Lecturer

Scunthorpe, based within a University Centre with Adult learners.

32.5hrs per week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 09:00-12:00, 13:00-16:00 and 17:30-20:30 & Friday 09:00-12:00, 13:00-16:00.

Temporary until October 2026.

£36.98 per hour including SHP.

As an AAT Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across AAT programmes, helping learners develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to achieve their qualifications and progress in their careers.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing learner progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across AAT programmes up to level 4.
  • Prepare and deliver lessons that meet awarding body requirements.
  • Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Monitor and track learner progress and attendance.
  • Support students in achieving their academic and career goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance processes.
  • Participate in curriculum development and course improvement activities.
  • Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

About you

Holds a relevant Accounting qualification (AAT Level 4, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).

Has current industry knowledge and experience within accounting or finance.

Has experience teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring learners.

  • Holds a Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) a experience of delivering AAT qualifications.
  • Hold a DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one.
