We are currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated Motor Mechanics Tutor to join a leading education provider within a custodial setting. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support learners in developing motor vehicle maintenance and repair skills, alongside essential employability behaviours, helping them progress towards sustainable employment upon release.
Working with small groups, you will deliver practical, hands-on training, building confidence, capability, and real-world skills aligned to the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality Motor Vehicle / Motor Mechanics training sessions
- Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons aligned to learner needs
- Develop and maintain individual learning plans
- Track and monitor learner progress and achievement
- Provide ongoing advice, guidance, and mentoring
- Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
- Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance / Motor Mechanics (or equivalent)
- Significant industry experience within motor vehicle repair and maintenance
- Experience delivering training, coaching, or mentoring
- Ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds
- Teaching qualification (AET / PTLLS / DET - Level 3 or above)
- Assessor qualification (TAQA / CAVA)
- Experience within FE, apprenticeships, or adult learning
- Experience working with challenging or disengaged learners
If you don't currently hold a teaching or assessing qualification, full support will be provided to gain this during your probation period.
