About the Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Health & Social Care Teacher to join a successful Further Education College in Mansfield on a full-time temporary basis.
The successful candidate will hold a recognised teaching qualification, possess a degree in Health & Social Care, and have experience delivering Level 3 Health & Social Care qualifications.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on learners within a supportive and rewarding FE environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Health & Social Care lessons across Further Education programmes.
- Teach and support learners studying Level 3 Health & Social Care qualifications.
- Support the delivery of Psychology and Sociology qualifications where required.
- Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with awarding body specifications.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement, and learner progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Support learners in achieving their academic and personal goals.
Essential Requirements
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
- A degree in Health & Social Care or a closely related subject.
- Experience delivering Level 3 Health & Social Care qualifications within a Further Education or secondary education setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one prior to commencement.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience teaching BTEC, NCFE, or A-Level programmes.
- Experience working within a Further Education College environment.
- A strong understanding of current educational practices, assessment methods, and learner support strategies.
