We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and qualified

English and Maths Teachers/Lecturers to provide temporary cover across a large Further Education College group with campuses in

Mansfield, Sutton-in-Ashfield and Kirkby-in-Ashfield .

Due to high demand and the need for regular sickness, absence and timetable cover, we are looking to build a strong pool of skilled teaching professionals who can deliver engaging lessons to FE learners.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering English and/or Maths lessons to students across a variety of levels, helping learners develop their skills and achieve their qualifications.

The role may involve

  • Teaching Functional Skills and GCSE English and/or Maths
  • Delivering high-quality, engaging sessions
  • Supporting learner progress and achievement
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively
  • Adapting to different campus locations and timetables
  • Providing short-term, long-term or ad hoc cover as required

Essential Requirements

Applicants must hold a recognised teaching qualification , such as

  • PGCE
  • Cert Ed
  • QTS
  • DTLLS
  • Diploma in Education and Training (DET)

You should also have

  • Experience teaching English and/or Maths
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A passion for supporting learners to achieve their full potential
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
