We are currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated Carpentry Tutor to join a leading education provider within a custodial setting. Working with small groups, you will deliver engaging, structured training while providing guidance and support tailored to individual learner needs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality Carpentry training sessions to small learner groups
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons supporting varied learning styles
- Develop and maintain individual learning plans
- Track and monitor learner progress and achievement
- Provide advice, guidance, and mentoring to support progression
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
- Level 3 qualification in Carpentry / Joinery (or equivalent)
- Teaching qualification (minimum Level 3) OR actively working towards one
- Strong hands‑on industry experience in carpentry
- Experience delivering training, coaching, or mentoring
- Ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds
- Assessor qualification (TAQA / CAVA)
- Experience within FE, apprenticeships or adult learning
- Experience working with challenging or disengaged learners
