About the Role

An FE College in Liverpool is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic

Maths Lecturer to join their team on a full-time, ongoing temporary basis.

You will deliver engaging and effective

GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Maths lessons to a diverse range of learners, helping them develop confidence, achieve qualifications, and progress towards their educational and career goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver GCSE and Functional Skills Maths lessons to FE learners.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess high-quality learning activities.
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Support learners to achieve positive outcomes and examination success.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and reports.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum and support teams.

About You

  • Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
  • Degree or recognised qualification in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passionate about supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
