About the Role

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced

Health & Social Care Teacher to join a successful Further Education College in Mansfield on a full-time temporary basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Health & Social Care lessons, while also supporting the delivery of

Psychology and Sociology programmes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on learners and contribute to their academic success within a supportive FE environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Health & Social Care lessons across FE programmes.
  • Support the delivery of Psychology and Sociology qualifications where required.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with awarding body specifications.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement, and learner progress.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Support learners in achieving their academic and personal goals.

Essential Requirements

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
  • Relevant qualifications in

Health & Social Care or a related subject area.

  • Experience delivering

Health & Social Care within an FE or secondary education setting.

  • Experience teaching or supporting the delivery of

Psychology and Sociology .

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • An
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the

Update Service , or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement.

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience teaching BTEC, NCFE, or A-Level programmes.
  • Experience working within a Further Education College environment.
  • A strong understanding of current educational practices and assessment methods.
