We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Lecturer to join our Further Education team on a temporary, ongoing basis to provide additional teaching support. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality GCSE and functional skills English provision to learners, supporting them to achieve their academic goals and develop essential literacy skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective GCSE and functional skills English lessons to learners within the Further Education setting.
  • Plan, prepare and assess work in line with awarding body requirements.
  • Provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate learner records.
  • Support learners in developing both academic and transferable skills.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Essential Requirements

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience delivering GCSE English within a Further Education (FE) environment.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
