About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Games Production & 3D Modelling Tutor to deliver engaging, practical learning to students on a Level 3 pathway in Games, Animation and VFX. This role is perfect for a creative professional who is passionate about games development and wants to help shape the next generation of artists, designers, and developers.
Games Production
Students will learn to design and build a small game from concept to completion using a contemporary game engine. You will guide learners through:
- Concept documentation
- Visual scripting or coding fundamentals
- Gameplay mechanics
- Level design
- Testing and debugging
- Complete game build and presentation
Introduction to 3D Modelling & Animation
Students will develop core 3D skills including:
- 3D modelling
- Texturing & unwrapping
- Rigging
- Animation
- Rendering and lighting
- High‑to‑low poly workflows
- Importing assets into a game engine
- Building a professional 3D portfolio
What You Will Be Doing
- Delivering high‑quality, practical teaching sessions
- Supporting learners with hands‑on creative projects
- Guiding students through the full 3D and game production pipeline
- Providing feedback and supporting portfolio development
- Helping students develop industry‑ready techniques and workflows
- Encouraging collaboration, creativity and problem‑solving
- Assessing assignments and supporting learners towards completion
What We Are Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong background in 3D modelling, prop/environment art or animation
- Experience with game engines (Unity or Unreal Engine)
- Knowledge of modelling workflows, rigging, texturing and rendering
- Understanding of gameplay design and development pipelines
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and confidently
- Previous teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or training experience (or strong desire to teach)
- A portfolio showcasing relevant work
Desirable
- Industry experience in Games, Animation, VFX or 3D Art
- Knowledge of visual scripting or introductory coding (Blueprint, C#, etc.)
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, QTLS) - or willingness to work towards one
