About the Role
Bolton College is seeking ambitious, talented, and enthusiastic GCSE Maths Lecturers to join our flourishing team on a temporary basis via our internal agency. Starting from September 2026, these opportunities offer flexible, ongoing assignments depending on curriculum needs. You will deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning across GCSE Maths, with potential involvement in Functional Skills or community provision. You'll support learners aged 16-18 to build confidence, achieve their qualifications, and progress into further education or employment. Applications from newly qualified teachers are welcome.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive GCSE Maths lessons
- Adapt teaching to meet a range of learner needs and abilities
- Create a positive learning environment with strong behaviour management
- Monitor learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Develop and use innovative teaching resources to enhance learning
- Support curriculum delivery and contribute to course development
- Comply with quality assurance processes and contribute to continuous improvement
- Support achievement of departmental targets including retention and success rates
About You
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Maths or a related subject
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
- Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths
- Experience delivering GCSE Maths (FE or secondary setting preferred)
- Experience embedding Maths into vocational or academic programmes
- Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills
- Experience developing engaging and interactive learning materials
- A proactive, flexible, and learner-focused approach
- An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
