Bolton Talent Solutions is recruiting an Early Years Work‑Based Tutor / Assessor to support Early Years apprenticeships at Bolton College. This is a temporary role, contracted until the permanent position is appointed, with interviews for the substantive role due to take place in June. The role is ideal for an experienced Early Years professional with assessor experience who enjoys supporting apprentices in the workplace and guiding them through their qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver work‑based teaching and assessment to Early Years apprentices
- Assess, review, and track learner progress against apprenticeship standards
- Use e‑portfolio systems (e.g. Smart Assessor and/or Aptem) to manage evidence and assessment activity
- Provide timely feedback and supportive guidance to learners
- Liaise with employers and curriculum teams to support apprentice success
- Ensure compliance with awarding body and safeguarding requirements
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years (minimum)
- Assessor Award (A1, TAQA, or equivalent)
- Experience working with Early Years apprenticeships or work‑based learners
- Confidence using e‑portfolio systems (Smart Assessor and/or Aptem)
- Strong communication, organisation, and learner‑support skills
- Enhanced DBS check - registered on the DBS Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Desirable
- Experience delivering within a Further Education or training provider setting
- Knowledge of current Early Years apprenticeship standards
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
